May 4, 2009:

On April 27-29, 2009, Delft, Netherlands, the international workshop "Flood Vulnerability and Flood Protection in tidal and non-tidal regimes: North and Baltic Seas" took place. July 22, 2008:

In July, 2008 an expedition to the Gogland Island in the Gulf of Finland was organized by the project participants with the aim of installation of the autonomous hydrometeorological station. Since 19 of July installed in the bay of the Gogland Island the automatically working hydrometeorological station has been transmitting sea level and temperature as well as air temperature and pressure real time data to the coastal computer of the end-user in Saint-Petersburg. This information is expected to improve the quality of weather forecasts including extreme weather events and floods in Saint-Petersburg and the Gulf of Finland.

February 9, 2008:

Professor Alexey Nekrasov passed away 9 February 2008.

November 19, 2007:

An open workshop on "Storm Surges and Flooding in the Baltic Sea" during the International Symposium on "Effects of Climate Change on the World Oceans", will take place in Gijon, Spain, on May 24, 2008. The information about the workshop is available at the symposium website.

June 6, 2007:
